It’s been a bit slow on the blog and I’ve not posted as frequent but I’m still drinking and will get back into the swing of things in the next week, so stick around and subscribe if you are new to the blog. I’ve been sitting on the edited pictures for this oatmeal stout for quite some time and now that I’m putting this post together, I’m craving a piece of the brownie and the stout. It’s such a tasty stout that I could have had it by itself, a piece of brownie, or chocolate cake.
I picked up a bit of raisins and alcohol in the aroma. The body was very creamy and left a nice flavored coat on the tongue of coffee and a bit of chocolate, there was some malt and yeast flavors too; good balance and flavors.
The creaminess of the stout was perfect, like chocolate milk for adults, it was a great compliment to the chocolaty brownie. This is not a complex beer and I like that, 3 beer caps.
